Blue Creek Cabinet is a second-generation family business. Chris’ father, Bill Flagg, played many different rolls in the industry. The Flagg family was one of the first rep groups for Showplace, visiting South Dakota to meet with Tony Bour, Showplace’s founding president and CEO, before Showplace even broke ground. The family then covered multiple states in the Midwest and established over 300 Showplace dealers. Chris now runs his own retail kitchen and bath design business with his sister, Holly Rehner.

Lifelong.
What makes for good design in your opinion?
Good design in Chris’ opinion is many factors: Work space, obviously, but each customer has special interests and needs. Once meeting with a customer and getting to know them, Chris learns what is important to them and then while working on the design, those important elements come into play to create just the right space for them.
What do you love about kitchen design?
What Chris loves most about kitchen design is creating that perfectly unique space and experiencing his customers’ reaction to the final product.
