Dara believes professional design is something that should be accessible to everyone, regardless of project size, budget, or location.
Dara has worked in the kitchen and bath industry for 18 years. Before kitchens, she was a professional costume designer for theater. She transitioned into interior architecture and eventually fell in love with the kitchen and bath industry. She most enjoys combining great design with solving problems in layout or function.
Good design for Dara is the sweet spot where a space looks beautiful and addresses the needs of the client. Visually, Dara likes to see balance, color, innovative use of materials, and a little something to make the room unique. Functionally, Dara feels a good design needs to have appropriate space and make the best use of the layout.
The thing about kitchen design that Dara loves the most is helping people create a beautiful space in their home that they can enjoy every day. She loves being able to take the photos they have saved and pinned to create a space they could not put together themselves that is not only beautiful, but also solves their functionality problems. She loves hearing the phrase "I cannot believe this is my house!".
