Please tell us about yourself and your role at Showplace.
I’ve been in the cabinet industry for over 27 years, 21 of those years at Showplace. Shortly after Showplace opened their doors, I was asked to join the company to help start up the design department. I earned my CKD certification in 2007 and maintained my role as group lead in the CDC design department for 19 years before moving into product development as Product Development Supervisor. Away from work, my husband and I have 3 children, 2 grandkids, and a handful of pets that keep us entertained.
What’s your title?
CKD and Product Development Supervisor
How long have you been in the industry / with Showplace?
I’ve been in the cabinet industry for over 27 years, 21 of those years at Showplace.
What makes for good design in your opinion?
I believe a good design is one that’s balanced, functional, and meets the needs and wants of everyone in the home. Attention-to-detail is a must. A good design is when the homeowners move in, they can say, “I wouldn’t change a thing.”
What do you love about kitchen design?
I love how trends and styles are constantly changing. As part of the Product Development team, my job is to help implement these new styles and cabinet SKUs. I also love troubleshooting and coming up with optimal solutions for a complex design.
