Continuing a tradition of partnership

During the past few years, Paul Sova has often pointed out that one of the key elements in the success of Showplace Cabinetry is partnership. Our company forges solid relationships with our employee-owners, our dealer customers and our suppliers and strives to do business on a first-name basis. As I begin my term as CEO, I plan to continue that tradition of partnership—and use my strengths to build on those relationships.

While my role in the growth of Showplace has been on the supply chain and manufacturing side, I’ve had the opportunity to become very familiar with our sales and marketing departments, as well as product development and design. I’m looking forward to being more active with those groups. We have 900 dealers across North America—and I plan to get to know them on a first-name basis and explore the opportunities we share. I’m excited to look at the customer side differently than I have in the past, although providing an exceptional level of customer service has always been the driving force for every department at Showplace.

One of my first steps in looking at things from the dealer perspective was completing the “Getting to know Showplace” three-day virtual training seminar with 24 designers from around the country. It was my first experience with the way in which we introduce our company and our products to new dealers and designers—and I couldn’t be prouder of our training department. We do a great job of welcoming people into the Showplace family and laying the groundwork for a lasting partnership with them.

My 18-year background at Showplace has been about establishing business partnerships that work for all parties. That’s what I bring to the table as CEO— experience in putting good teams together and building long-term relationships. That’s what I’m going to keep doing during my time in leadership at Showplace. I think that’s the way to guarantee a seamless transition and maintain our tradition of quality, timeliness and innovation with our partners. I’m looking forward to working with you to implement that vision.
