The homeowners fell in love with the neighborhood, but the home itself lacked character. They wanted to redesign their floorplan by opening up the space while simultaneously creating the contemporary style they prefer.
The existing small shower and private bathroom offered very little storage or visual excitement. In order to achieve the homeowners' goals, a complete reconfiguration of the space was required.
All of the walls for the toilet room and closets were removed so we could properly reconfigure the space to suit the homeowners' contemporary preferences. The existing shower was converted into a larger walk-in closet connected to a relocated toilet room. Walls and plumbing were relocated so that a new "wet area" would be shared between a barrier free shower and timeless freestanding bathtub. The homeowners disliked the idea of cleaning glass, so to keep it less heavy, we incorporated textured rain-glass between the decorative transoms and tub window glass. The new layout allowed us to increase the size of the vanities giving them the additional storage they desired. Removing the dark and dated closet gave the room a more spacious feel and welcomed light into the room.
The homeowners were impressed with pretty much every aspect of this redesign. They love how the new white vanities provide additional storage and really pop against the contrasting dark quartz countertops.
We LOVE the free standing tub area with the elongated hexagonal tile on the wall. It serves as a beautiful centerpiece and compliments their contemporary style perfectly.
The homeowners were referred to us by a local home inspector. After visiting our showroom and seeing samples of Showplace Cabinetry, they knew they were in good hands.
We enjoyed working with these homeowners because they trusted us to deliver the master bathroom of their dreams while the majority of the project was designed and planned remotely. After visiting our showroom, seeing material samples and design renderings, they were confident we could transform their newly-purchased home into the contemporary sanctuary they desired.
