THE REST OF THE STORY ...

The homeowners recently downsized into a smaller home and reached out because the dealership had built their home in the early 1990’s. They wanted to remodel their master bathroom and hoped to achieve a “spa-like” atmosphere complementary to their sophisticated and elegant home. The family-owned company was honored that the homeowners trusted them to enhance their new home so many years later.

The room seemed closed off by an existing wall separating the shower and bathtub. The designer knew they would need to reconfigure in order to deliver the "spa-like" atmosphere the homeowners were after.

The final design removed the wall separating the shower and tub. The shower is now separated from the tub area by its frameless glass wall. This created more of an open concept and allowed the designer to capitalize on the natural light from the window.

The homeowners love how bright their new bathroom is. They also like the new custom vanity that was designed to feel more like furniture than a standard cabinet base.

The design team loves how the products and finishes truly contributed to the "spa-like" bathroom the homeowners were looking for. The free-standing bathtub sits on floor tile beneath that gives the illusion of a bed of rocks. The pebble tile is extended onto the shower floor and then up a vertical accent on the shower wall. The new bathroom offers a perfect sanctuary for rest and relaxation.

COMMENTS FROM OUR JUDGES ...

This is an absolutely beautiful transformation, thank you for sharing the before photos. Creativity is written all over this project!

Beautifully put together!

Your use of the stones under the tub and in the shower as well as the full wall slabs of stone is stunning!

Great job opening up the shower to natural light! Overall, great job!

GORGEOUS!

Unexpected design elements with the tub, shower and even the vanity details making them look like freestanding pieces of furniture.

Nice remodel of an older bathroom that didn't have great flow.

Visually very appealing.

Love the unique detail of the pebbles around the tub and then on the tub mounting deck...great touch.

Nice work flow and space allocation.

I like this bathroom a lot. The furniture style of the vanities and the dark stain finish on the wood. This space is warm and rich and I love the contrast of the white porcelain tile contrasted by the warm wood tones.

Great earthy feel.

Very visually appealing.

The floorplan is such an improvement.

Beautiful space.

Ok nothing more said, looks like a 5* hotel bathroom.
