This home was a complete remodel. We came in and redesigned an unused den space that was there before. We were able to re-plan the space to include this bar off of the outdoor entertaining area. The bar with beverage service provided the customer an easy access area to get drinks. The kitchen was completely re-designed as well and is open to this space. We wanted to use the color select program for a particular color the client wanted to use in their home. They wanted the bar to provide open shelving and glass cabinets for the liquor as well as decorative elements to display.
Our challenges for this project was creating the right plan for entertaining with this space.
We were able to take an unused den space and turn it into this beautiful bar right off the kitchen. The walls were moved and the ceiling was raised to make the space feel open and bright.
The clients loved the dark contrast of the custom color with the hickory floating shelves. The electrician was able to put the strip lighting inset in to the floating shelves to provide some lighting to highlight the decor and glassware that was displayed on the shelves. They also love the open access of the ShowplaceEVO line and the glass shelves on the inside to allow the light to shine down through the shelves.
I love the clean lines and contrast of the cabinetry and the shelving. I love symmetry and that is the backdrop of the beautiful kitchen that was designed at the same time as this project.
